Kansas Collegiate League Baseball (formerly the Walter Johnson League) is a highly competitive, eight team, Premier Summer Collegiate Baseball League.
Hosting top level baseball talent from across the country since 1999. KCLB is an independently operated league playing around the Greater Wichita Area.
The KCLB operates during the months of June and July with post season play starting the first week of August.
We host an all star break, game and home run derby, for all of our players and teams to enjoy.
The KCLB had top representation in the SummerBall ShowDown National Post Season Tournament in 2025 our very own Wellington Heat took home the Championship trophy for the first time with 3 appearances, in 2023 the El Dorado Walnuts took home the Championship trophy out of 24 teams from across the nation. This is the KCLB's fourth champion in the tournament and shows the improved competition in our league over the last few years.
KCLB also tallied a two 2nd place finish three 3rd place finishes. 8 teams finishing in the top 5 over a 5 year span.
After making the switch in 2020 to the SummerBall ShowDown the KCLB has dominated post season baseball in the country.
In our history on top of our success at the SBS the KCLB boasts 13 Top 10 finishes in the NBC World Series, including two 3rd Place Finishes, 2019 and 2018, 4th Place in 2013 and 2011, 5th Place in 2020,2014 and 2006 and 7th Place in 2009.
KCLB teams also finished 9th in the NBC World Series in 2014, 2012 (two teams), 2011 (two teams), 2010 and 2007.
